Liviu B. Saimovici M.D., Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology,
is the Founder and Surgical Director of Advanced Eye Care Associates, a private diagnostic
and multi-laser treatment facility. Dr. Saimovici was awarded the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, graduating Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina. He began his medical training at the Medical University of South Carolina, and completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C., where he became Chief Resident. Dr. Saimovici is a member of the Mount Sinai Medical Staff and School of Medicine Faculty. He is an attending physician at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital and Cabrini Medical Center. Inventor, teacher and mentor to other doctors, he teaches them how to perform various laser vision correction procedures. In New York City since 1983, Dr. Saimovici has treated thousands of patients, and they all have achieved perfect or near-perfect vision. Many of them see better now than they ever did with their best glasses or contacts. Dr. Saimovici takes a discriminating, caring approach toward all his patients. As a Comprehensive Vision Correction Specialist, he performs all the FDA approved procedures. This allows him to "customize" the treatment for each patient, to suit to his or her particular needs.
